Mykola Tomenko: 11 February the Parliament may adopt the Decision on Pre-term Election in Kyiv City

Mykola Tomenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is convinced that during next week the Parliament would adopt the decision on conduction of the pre-term election of Kyiv city mayor and Kyiv City Council on 30 May 2010.

 

According to UNIAN, M. Tomenko deems the next plenary week would be dedicated to the situation scrutiny concerning the returns of the second presidential election round. "Though the Parliament is supposed to scrutinize the issue on the situation in Kyiv city", - M. Tomenko emphasized.

 

The Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine announced that the issue on the adoption of the final decision on the Temporary Inquiry Panel of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to investigate the Facts of Violation of the Constitution of Ukraine and Ukrainian Laws, Adoption of Illegitimate Resolutions by the Officials of Kyiv City Council and its Executive Body report that was adopted by the Parliament as a basis, is included into the agenda.

 

"I am convinced that on 11 February the decision would be adopted and the pre-termed election of the Kyiv city mayor and Kyiv City Council would be appointed on 30 May 2010", - he added. M. Tomenko also stressed that the social background for the pre-termed election in Kyiv have been obvious long ago. "Kyiv residents are aware of the fact that the capital of our state should be liberated from the "young team" of L. Chernovetskyi", - he stated.
